- someone who seems to have more perception and wisdom than most other people the same age
- i.e.) Marissa was on old head on young shoulders. She was only only seventeen years old but seemed so wise and sensible

- someone who seems to have more emotional insight and wisdom than other people the same age
- i.e.) Everyone said that Henry was an old soul. He seemed to have so much wisdom and insight for a sixteen-year-old boy.
4. an open book
- someone who is extremely open about themselves
- i.e.) it was very easy to get to know Hannah. She was an open book and made friends easily
5. an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure (예방이 치료약보다 낫다)
- it's better to deal with a problem early. it will be more difficult to fix if you leave it for later
- i.e.) Henry decided to go to the doctor about his headaches. it probably wasn't anything serious, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure
