1. look up

- to give someone back money that you owe them
- when it's written as one word, "payback" means revenge
- i.e.) Thanks for getting me lunch when I forgot my wallet at home. I will pay you back tomorrow
4. pay for
- to give someone money for a particular purpose
- to suffer because of something you did
- i.e.) he will pay for all the the problems he caused me by being late today
5. put out
- to extinguish a fire
- i.e.) the firefighters managed to put out the fire before it spread to other houses
- to irritate someone
- i.e.) I'd ask you to make a dinner but I don't want to put you out
