1. bite the bullet (어쩔 수 없이, 이를 악물고 하다)
- to commence with something that is unpleasant, but not inevitable
- i.e.) They decided to bite the bullet and go ahead with the necessary expense
2. bite the dust (실패하다, 전사하다, 끝나버리다)
- for something to cease to exist
- i.e.) My plans for vacation bit the dust when I found out that I'd only be getting one week off
- i.e.) Verizon's Unlimited Smartphone plans are about to bite the dust
- i.e.) We still have yet to see Chrome or Firefox bite the dust.
3. bite your tongue (이를 악물고 참다)
- to stop talking
- i.e.) I was goling to give my opinion on his outfit, but I decided to bite my tongue at the last minute. I didn't think he'd like what I had to say
4. black and blue
- to be bruised
- i.e.) Chris's knees were black and blue after falling off his bike a few days ago
5. black-and-white
- to think in an extreme way - everything is either completely right or entirely wrong
- i.e.) Josh always seemed to take a black-and-white view of things. It was difficult to make him see that there could be gray areas
