1. I could use a / I could do with a

- it's a very common expression to say you need it or would benefit from it

- i.e.) actually, I could use a hand with analysing this research. there is a lot more than we anticipated

- i.e.) I could use a hand in the kitchen please

- i.e.) I could do with a holiday

- i.e.) i could do with a cup of tea

 

2. take it from there

- you can say it when you don't know exactly how an activity will play out after a certain moment

- i.e.) let's complete the initial analysis of the new product and then we will take it from there

 

3. stay afloat

- having enough money to pay what you owe

- i.e.) when a company is at risk or the market is particularly adverse, it is important to stay afloat to survive

 

4. not going to fly

- a proposal or something else, that we know is not going to be approved

- i.e.) I doubt this proposal is going to fly with the boss

 

5. I see your point

- to interrupt someone politely

- i.e.) I see your point, but allow me to express my view
