1. go out (with)

- to go on a date with someone

- i.e.) Sarah was so happy when Peter finally asked her to go out with him

 

2. go head

- to go in front of someone

- to give permission to do or say something

- i.e.) go ahead, explain to me why there is a car on my roof

 

3. grow up

- to grow up, sometimes used to tell someone to stop acting childish

- i.e.) some people tell Steve he needs to grow up, but he loves acting like a child

 

4. grow apart

- to get distance from someone, like a friend

- i.e.) when my friend moved to a different country I tried to stay close with her, but we slowly grew apart

 

5. hang on

- to keep something

- i.e.) when everyone else was getting fired, Paul managed to hang on to his job
