- a person (possibly someone recognized by both participants in the conversation) who imparted the information in question
- i.e.) How did I find out that your sister is getting married? a little bird told me

- people who have only a limited understanding of something can be dangerous
- i.e.) some people are always promoting opinions that make me realize that a little learning can be a dangerous thing.
4. a memory like a sieve (기억들이 마치 '체'를 통과해 없어진다)
- an inadequate memory
- i.e.) I can't believe i forgot that. I have a memory like a seive
5. a penny for your thoughts
- tell me your thoughts
- i.e.) you're very quiet today. a penny for your thoughts
