[영단어] 하루에 5개이상 Study Challenge - 10/08/2020

10일동안해보니, 역시 꾸준히 하는것이 쉽지는 않은것 같다.

오늘은 큰 고비였다. 애들재우려고 같이 침대에 누웠다가 잠이 들뻔 했으나, 이거 써야지! 약속을 지켜야지.. 하면서 일어나서 이렇게 오늘도 무사히 마쳤다. 조금씩 조금씩~~!

 

1. forward planning

- it means planning, since all planning is for activities that will take place in the future

- i.e.) I think we need a degree of forward planning on this issue

 

2. proactive

- to take the initiative on something - which usually means embarking on a new task yourself, withiout waiting for your colleagues or boss to prompt you

- i.e.) I would really appreciate if you could be proactive on attracting new clients, George

 

3. action points

- proposals for specific actions to be taken

- i.e.) I came out of the meeting with three action points

 

4. to action / actionable

- the word "action" makes the mundane act of getting a task completed sound more dynamic and important

- i.e.) that's a good idea. I am going to action that this afternoon

- i.e.) I love your idea about painting the fence, but I don't think it's actionable at the moment

 

5. cut to the chase

- to get to the point withiout wasting time

- i.e.) let's cut to the chase. are you going to finish the report on time, or not?
