Cisco CUCM Partitions vs Calling Search Space

<Partitions>

Who can call me? (name assigned to a set of numbers and patterns). it's about imcoming calls

Partition의 개념은, 삼성 SCME 교환기의 User group과 비슷한 개념이다.

Partitions are used to logically segregate directory numbers in the system.

Every directory number, route pattern, and translation have an associated partition

 

 

<Calling Search Space>

where can I call? (list of partitions) it's about outgoing calls

CSS are used to determin which partitions a given device can dial. If a device is not configured with a calling search space and/or its calling search space does not contain any partitions, said device would not be able to make any calls.

When a new call is made, the line and device CSS are combined in that order, and a pattern is matched in the following order:

  - most specific match with priority

  - most specific match without priority

  - if equal, partition order in the CSS 

 

<Route>

각 route 패턴들에 대해, 매칭되는 outbound 전화번호에 따라 라우팅을 달리해준다.

아래 Gateway/Route List항목에서 실제로 routing할 GW를 선택한다.

그 밑에 Called Party Transformation 에서는 receiving party의 전화번호 패턴을 변경할 수 있는 config를 제공한다. (Prefix, digit discard)
